After several quarters of excellent profits, United Airlines decided to spend some money on passenger service. They have decided to introduce complimentary snacks across all mainline and regional flights:
Before9:45 a.m.will receive a morning stroopwafel – a Dutch, caramel-filled waffle.
After 9:45 a.m.will offer packaged savory snacks, such as an Asian-style snack mix of rice crackers, sesame sticks and wasabi peas or a zesty-ranch mix of mini pretzel sticks, Cajun corn sticks and ranch soy nuts.
In the end, this will generate some goodwill from passengers tired of getting nickel-dimed. It would be nice if they reintroduced meals on Hawaii flights since (EWR-HNL takes over 10 hours and is catered as a snack flight even in Business Class!
