The good life: Cathay Pacific First Class JFK-HKG

Just before the major AA devaluation I decided to burn my last stack on AA miles and treat my girlfriend to a lovely trip to Bali on a combo of Cathay Pacific and Malaysia Airlines.

I first booked us into Business Class, and then one seat popped up in First followed three hours later by another seat, so we now had two seats on the non-stop JFK-HKG flight, a plane that I have flown many times, but was my Girlfriend's first long-haul on an Asian airline in First and our first long trip together.

Since we departed at 145 AM we decided to snack on the Caviar and then take a nap before having supper.

Since the flight only had 3 out of 6 passengers in First, we each were able to get a second order of Caviar.

After a few hours napping it was show time and our chance to really enjoy the legendary Cathay Pacific service.

Soup as a starter

A clear example of cost-cutting at Cathay Pacific, this salad used to have Lobster, Mango and greens now it's Crab, Mango and greens...

Main Chinese dish for me: Stir-fried Prawn with Rice and veggies

Dessert time: Blueberry bread and pudding with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream.

After a few movies , we decided to try the Cathay Pacific burger with Chips and the Cheese Plate
