51st and Green Lounge (Preclearance Dublin)

51st and Green Lounge (Preclearance Dublin)

Up until a few months ago, the only lounges in Dublin were located prior to the US Border Pre-Clearance facility, forcing eligible passengers to leave lounges early and then deal with the at times super long lines...
This lounge, is very bright and offers a variety of snacks and beverages and is a great opportunity to spend a few minutes prior to the (usually) early morning flights to the United States.

Avianca Airbus 330 Bogota to New York

Avianca 244
Bogota (BOG) - New York (JFK)
Airbus 330 - Business Class

As part of a decent airfare deal ex-Sao Paulo, I had a chance to fly Avianca on both their Boeing 787 and Airbus 330. Most of the Airbus 330 fleet is being converted to a 1-2-1 seating providing direct aisle access for all passengers. Sadly this plane was still being operated with the older 2-2-2 seats.

The seating is 2-2-2 with two cabins a forward and back-one, I prefer the bulkhead of the second cabin as it seemed to have some additional space.

Beef with veggies on the side as my main dish...

The crew disapered after the meal was served for a few hours and them reappered to hand out these small sandwiches a short time prior to landing...

From South Africa to Seychelles!

Air Seychelles Flight 60
Johannesburg JNB - Mahé, Seychelles SEZ
Airbus 320
January 2017

I decided to travel with my fiancee to Seychelles as part of our Austrian Airlines JNB Flash sale ticket. The flight from Johannesburg to Mahe was just about 5 hours on an Airbus 320. We were able to have a blocked Middle Seat in the Exit row by selecting a Window and Aisle seat, this made the flight a bit more bearable but overall would recommend splurging on Business Class, this flight had many connecting passengers and even in the exit row was a difficult flight.
The flight departed a few minutes early after a very funny premium boarding call...
"Business Class, Gold, Silver, you know if you can board early!"

Coach seats are in a light blue color and have an acceptable seat pitch and comfort for the mid-haul hop across the Indian Ocean...
