Passenger Lounge Roma

PriorityPass Card holders can access two lounges in Rome Fiumicino Airport, both are located after security and can be accessed depending on whether you are flying to a Schengen or Extra-Schengen destination.

I tried out the Passenger Lounge, that while not earning many creativity points with it's name, it provides a nice spot to spend a few hours prior to your flight. our driver picked us up extra early and with a slightly delayed flight spent over two hours in the lounge.

The main issue that I have with the lounge is the heating level, which was set to high and made the lounge feel stuffy at times.

Food wise, the lounge had a variety of options, with a breakfast spread of omelets, potatoes and sausages available, which were complemented by salads and a cheese/cold cut spread.

A variety of alcoholic beverages were available including Fernet Branca, an Italian apperative that is very popular in Argentina.

Around 1 PM a lunch spread was layed out with a mushroom lasagna and two types of soups. Overall the lounge provided a decent selection of meal options so one does not need to venture into the terminal for a snack.
A short while later, our delayed flight was ready for boarding and we headed towards our gate.

Baby Jet across the pond! British Airbus 318!

British Airways BA 1
London City (LCY) to New York - JFK via Shannon (SNN)
Airbus 318 - Business Class

I've always been fascinated with the BA1-4 flights, at one time these were operated by the legendary Concorde and now are operated from London City Airport by a sub fleet of Airbus 318 in an all-business class cabin with just 32 seats. These flights operate with a technical stop in Shannon , Ireland where the plane is refueled and passengers on BA 1 but not BA 3 can pre-clear customs and arrive as a domestic passenger in New York- JFK.

One hour later we were off across the pond to New York!

 Starting with a lovely salad!

Excellent Lamb and Pasta option!

Prior to landing a cold-cut dish was served!

Trip Report: Air China Airbus 330 Business Class HKG-PEK

Air China
Hong Kong to Beijing (HKG-PEK)
Airbus 330 Business Class

I was off on my way to Brazil, when LifeMiles offered me a crazy routing (HKG-PEK-FRA-LIS-TAP) which would allow me to try out some new routes and plane configurations.

Air China operates the Airbus 330 in a 2-2-2 configuration. Very nice seats (not direct access, but acceptable) but the crews are no way close to Cathay Pacific, Singapore or even Malaysia Airlines standards.

I went with the Pork entree, Chinese style!
