Zanzibar is an archipelago located off the coast of Tanzania with a rich cultural history with Swahili and Islamic influences.
Stone Town is the old capital and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Interestingly enough, the Anglo-Zanzibar War was a 38 minute conflict between the United Kingdom and the Zanzibar Sultanate on 27 August 1896.
