Philippine Airlines has published a nice fare sale from Taipei to Toronto (YYZ) via Manila. The best thing about this fare is that it is a cheap RT ticket from Asia to North America. The bad thing is that miles can't be credited to many airlines and the layovers are long in Manila on the return (which could help Hidden City flyers)...

These longish layovers in Manila can be compensated by the history of Intermuros (the old colonial city) or a visit to Corregidor Island (sometimes called the Gibraltar of the East) so the layover can work for some travelers, but not all...
