In 2017 the Salon Genoa lounge was closed and refurbished. I
had a chance to check it out after a few weeks of operation.
I must say, the positive feature is that it is a Priority
Pass lounge but a major problem is that it is located landside which is
inconvenient, but the airport tries to make up for it by offering a Fast Track
security lane directly from the lounge.
While the facilities are very nice the lounge had almost no food or drinks. Food options were basically some crackers. The TV was running nonstop local advertising in Italian about the airport.
Overall, it's nice to have a lounge but with some very small changes (additional sandwiches and beverages) this could provide a much better travelling experience for Premium Cabin and Lounge card holders.
