The Concorde Room at Terminal 5 represents the highest level of lounge within the British Airways system. It is reserved primarily for passenger flying in First Class and Concorde Room Card holders which is a sub tier of British Airways Gold.

This is not in any way the best lounge in the world, my personal favorite is the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt, but is a quiet and relaxing place reserved only for passengers flying British Airways First Class or have top-top status with British Airways. We were here on two occasions, once prior to my flight to Singapore on the British Airways Airbus 380 and once before a quick hop to the Continent after a flight on the Boeing 789 in First. Come back soon for those reports.

First let's eat at the Concorde Dining Area:

Dressed Cornish Crab Cake

Char-grilled 21 - Day Rib-eye Steak with potatoes

One of the various siting areas in the lounge:

The Business Center (Board Room) features original seats from the Concorde. They are clearly not as advanced as modern seats, but one can only imagine what is must have been like to have flown Speedbird at Mach 2.0 across the pond...

On my return flight I only had a few minutes before my next flight and it was early morning so my travelling teddy bear enjoyed a pre-flight Mimosa.
