Boeing 787-9 - First Class

After a few days in South East Asia and visiting a new country East Timor, it was time to head back to Europe with British Airways on their Boeing 787-9 in their new First Class. The best way to describe BA First is as the world's best business class product, as the service is at time lackluster and on this particular flight, not even the correct menus were loaded.

This flight departs late at night , almost at midnight and land early in London, so most people just want to sleep on board. But not having correctly catered menus is pretty much unacceptable in Business Class and much less in First Class.

The cabin is beautiful with just 8 seats in a two row 1-2-1 cabin.

Service started with some Johnnie Walker Blue straight and some nuts...

Two different appetizers... a pesto cheese plate and a melon carpaccio...

Shrimp Salad as my main dish...

A mix of small desserts to finish the meal...

After a few hours nap, I woke up and decided to try one of the sandwiches with a Cornish IPA...

While still watching War and Peace, I decided to have some breakfast shortly before landing in London.

Service started with a fruit plate...
