Last year British Airways totally redesigned and updated their lounges at Gatwick Airport. This started by moving back to the South Terminal after spending time at the North Terminal.

The new lounge offering is split into a Business and First Galleries. Access to each is based on Cabin travelled as well as Status. As an OneWorld Emerald via my American Airlines Executive Platinum Status.

I had an early morning flight out of Gatwick, which when based in Central London can be a hassle at times to access with an Uber to Victoria Station and then Southern (using the Oyster trick) or Gatwick Express to Gatwick. On the other hand if staying in the South of England at places such as Hever Castle. It can be a true pleasure to fly out of LGW.

The lounge offers a full bar, featuring Johnnie Walker Blue and other high end beverages. It also features a buffet with food that varies according to the time of day.

As we were flying in the morning the lounge featured a menu ( shown below) with a variety of dishes.

Eggs Benedict for me...

Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs for my lovely wife...

Typical English morning... cloudy cloudy cloudy...

Views of the Champagne Bar...

A variety of pastries and breads..
