GVK Lounge Mumbai Airport
This was my second time in India, country 99 for me but my first time in Mumbai.
I used Uber to/from the airport and while it took some effort to find my drover when I flew in , on the return it was a piece of cake and after two days of exploring it was time to head back to the airport.
Gotta love the tricks on the main highway...
Bikes on a truck... "TII" This is India!
Mumbai Airport can be a bit of a maze with at times what seems like organized chaos. My driver dropped me off and I was able to use the First Class check-in as a OneWorld Emerald.
Afterwards I was invited to the First Class Lounge even if flying in Premium Economy
The lounge was bling central but still had a very nice layout. The lounge is broken down into a variety of sectors which add a sense of privacy. Business Class passengers are invited to use a different part of the lounge.
There is a buffet with a variety of dishes and also a sit down part of the restaurant where menus are handed out and a short while later my dishes came out. There is also an excellent selection of alcoholic beverages!
Food options...
For those curious about the choice of bubbly... Moet & Chandon, which is a solid choice for a lounge.
Overall this is one of the finest independent lounges I have seen, it was at the level of the British Airways Concorde Room and I deeply appreciated the ability of using it as a OneWorld Emerald.
