China Southern has a nice sale from New York to Beijing via their hub in Guangzhou, China. Flights are on their lovely Boeing 777-300 which feature lieflat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration.
The miles situation is more complicated as China Southern left SkyTeam on January 1, 2019.
During 2019 China Southern will be able to credit to American Airlines but the details are not clear as of the time of this post. Travel late in 2019 will most likely credit but it's pure speculation as of now.
