Travel Arbitrage: Birmingham to New York via Brussels/Amsterdam from £1216!

This fare is not for most people but it works great for those chasing status with Air France/KLMs Flying Blue program as it gives 120 XPs enough for Silver status and for Delta flyers it gives you over 3500 MQDs, with that said it is an insane routing and a clear example of how you can build in segments to chase status.

Here is a map of a "normal" Birmingham to New York flight and then this "fare". Which as you can see is more "scenic". The AMS-BRU segment at just 96/98 miles gives you 15 XPs which in the logic of Flying Blue is the same as a 2000 mile flight. So you can build these segments to your advantage!

BHX-AMS-BRU-JFK-DUB-AMS-BHX would give you 17692 RDMs 13270 MQMs and 3538 MQDs
