Acceptable sale with Avianca from Boston to Santiago via Bogota. Avianca now has Business Class (mostly in a Eurobusiness style) after having gotten rid of Business class a few years ago and service levels remain at pathetic levels with limited service quality.
These fares book into A class (XL in Avianca terms) which earns 100% in most Star Alliance programs and gives you 1/5 of distance as PQPs for United so you would earn 10458 miles and 2091 PQPs.
