Iberia 6250 JFK-MAD (New York to Madrid)
Airbus 340-600 (IB 345) Business Class

I had originally booked this flight as part of a deal from BCN to JFK and then to GVA (Geneva). As I had two pieces of luggage I didn't bother with OLCI and upon arriving at T7 at JFK I was informed that the original Airbus 330 had been replaced by an Airbus 340 without Premium Economy and therefore I was upgraded to Business Class.

While several passengers were upgraded due to the plane change, there was no major difference in the attention from the cabin crew.

The cabin is configured in a 1-2-1 seating. This plane has 46 seats across 12 rows.

My seat was 4J which is exposed to the aisle as the cabin is configured in a 1-2-1 configuration.  The window seats work well for solo passengers.

Amenity kits were distributed just after boarding.

Pre-Departure drinks were offered, just Orange Juice and Water for some reason no bubbly...

Here are the menus from the flight (JFK-MAD February 2018)

Hot towels were distributed

Appetizers were served shortly after with a main salmon appetizer , a small side salad and surprisingly a consume which was served out of a thermos. A small cheese plate was also available as well as a choice of breads, they had pretzel bread, a little vice that I enjoyed!

For my main I went for the Chicken breast in a caramelized onions sauce dish which was accompanied by zucchini, mushrooms and sliced carrots.

PremiumCabinBear is enjoying the dessert option

Passengers were asked after dinner if they wanted to be woken up for breakfast, but since the options were light, I decided to skip it and try to sleep. Something easier said than done as the Atlantic crossing was fast and soon after we landed in Madrid.

I had a short connection on my way to meet my wife in Geneva where we celebrating her birthday.

If flying coach, row 14 has plenty of legroom
