Nice opportunity to obtain British Airways status at a very affordable rate. Executive club uses Tier Points as their Status collecting tool. Bronze (oneworld Ruby) requires 300 Tier Points, Silver (oneworld Sapphire) 560 TPs and Gold (oneworld Emerald) 1500 TPs.

Some solutions as the SriLankan run allows you to obtain oneworld Sapphire status for under £1200, but with this Travel Hack you can get it at an even lower rate.

American Airlines published one-way fares between San Francisco or San Jose to Los Angeles or vice versa but with the chance to have 3 segments per flight. So you can do SJC-PHX-DFW-LAX-DFW-PHX-SJC for $164 and collect 240 Tier Points.
